How to Sanitize an Exersaucer

A heavily diluted bleach mixture will sanitize the surfaces of an Exersaucer.

The Exersaucer is a version of a baby walker made by Evenflo. The child sits inside and has a table top in front of her on all sides which holds a variety of toys. The child can turn the seat to access the toys. If you have a child, sanitizing the Exersaucer after use will help keep your baby from getting sick from germs on the device.

Things You'll Need

• Washcloth or paper towels
• Soap and water
• 1 tbsp. bleach
• 1 qt. water
• 1 qt. spray bottle

Instructions

1. Remove the pad from the seat and wash it in the washing machine in cold water, and then hang it after to line dry afterward.

2. Combine the water and bleach in the spray bottle. Shake the bottle to thoroughly mix the ingredients.

3. Wash all of the toys and the surfaces of the Exersaucer with soapy water.

4. Wipe down the Exersaucer with a damp washcloth to rinse away the soap.

5. Spray the toys and all of the exposed surfaces of the Exersaucer with the diluted bleach mixture.

6. Wipe the Exersaucer to spread the bleach around to the unsprayed areas.

7. Let the Exersaucer air dry overnight before using it again, or wipe the Exersaucer with a damp paper towel before use.
