How to Put in a Ground Rod
Electric fences utilize two separate terminals. One connects to the actual fence while the second terminal connects to an item known as a ground rod. A properly set up ground rod sends an electric shock to a squirrel or other creature who attempts to bypass the fence when its body makes contact with the fence. Tips & Warnings
Use ground rods that consist of copper, rather than those of galvanized steel, because copper rods tend to withstand rust better and act as a superior electrical conductor.
