How to Line a Shower Curtain
Shower curtains come in many designs and colors to accentuate the look of your bathroom. One way to protect your shower curtain is by lining the inside of the curtain. When you line a shower curtain, you are keeping water and soap off the inside of the curtain. Most shower curtain liners are plastic or vinyl and repel soap scum for quick cleaning. The liner installs the same way the shower curtain installs on your rod. Does this Spark an idea?

Place the shower curtain flat on the floor with the inside of the curtain facing you. Lay the shower curtain liner over the the shower curtain, lining up the holes at the top of the curtain and the liner. The smooth side of the liner should be facing you with the ridged or rough textured side against the curtain.

Insert your shower curtain hooks through the holes of the shower curtain and the liner. If you are using shower hoops, do not close the hoop once you insert them through the holes. The hole spacing is universal on shower curtains and shower liners.

Lift the shower curtain and liner with the hooks and stand in front of the shower rod. The curtain should be facing you with the liner facing the shower.

Install the shower curtain hooks onto the shower rod. If you are using the hoops, lock the hoops closed once they are on the shower rod.

Move the bottom of the shower liner inside the tub or shower and ensure the bottom of the curtain is on the outside.

Tips & Warnings
Follow instructions on shower hook packages for proper installation of hooks.
You can install a separate rod for the liner, although this is not feasible in most applications.
