Viewsat Ultra Setup Instructions

The Viewsat Ultra allows you to view programs with your satellite dish.

The Viewsat Ultra is a satellite receiver that you can connect to your home entertainment system to view programs available through most satellite television providers. This device will allow you to not only watch high-definition programs through your satellite, but also view a programming guide to get information on the shows you are watching and see what is on later. The setup instructions for this device require you to use the remote control to adjust the settings.

Instructions

1. Place the Viewsat Ultra in your entertainment center where you want the device to sit. Connect the audio/video cables to the outputs on the device and the other ends to the inputs on your television. Connect a coaxial cable from a cable outlet on your wall to the input on the back of the device. Plug the power cable of the device into an open AC outlet on your wall.

2. Turn on both the Viewsat and your television using the "Power" button on the devices. Using the remote that came with the Viewsat, press the "Menu" button and use the arrow buttons to navigate through the menu to the "Installation" option and press "OK." Navigate to the "Antennae Setup" option and press "OK."

3. Use the arrow buttons to select a satellite from the available options on the menu. This will most likely only yield one option, but if multiple satellites are connected to your cable system, choose the one you currently have service with. Press "OK" when the correct option is highlighted.

4. Wait for a screen prompting you to enter information for your satellite. This information can be obtained by contacting your satellite service provider. Enter the information using the number pad on the remote and press "OK" when finished. The device will take a moment to link with the satellite and display a "Finished" message when complete.

5. Press the "Menu" button again, navigate to the "Installation" option and press "OK." Navigate to the "Auto Scan" option and press "OK." The device will begin to search for the channels you subscribe to and add them to its internal memory. When it is finished, you will see the first available channel on your television.
