Instructions

    • 1

Measure your dining table. You need to construct a lipped border around the table to keep the dice on the table. Cut enough plywood so you have six inches of wood surrounding the table. Usually crap tables have a slightly lower border in the middle of the table. You can create this look by allowing for a four-inch tall border in the middle of the long sides of the table approximately 12 inches long. Secure one screw at least every six inches.

    • 2

Cut plywood to create an arm rest around the entire border of the table. It should be approximately four inches in width. Screw the arm rest to the lip border, using one screw every four to five inches.

    • 3

Paint the plywood border the same color as your table with wood stain and then varnish. The arm rest does not need to be painted. Allow at least 24 hours to dry.

    • 4

Staple the tube foam in place with your staple gun, starting at one end. Work your way around, stapling it down every six inches. Cover the over-the-lip edge.

    • 5

Cover all the foam with the faux leather material, using the staple gun. Be sure to hide the staples by only stapling underneath the arm rest on both sides.

    • 6

Measure the inside of the table for your green felt. Once you cut out the correct size, paint on the lines, betting spots and words for your craps gaming felt. You can find references for craps online or in a craps playing book.

    • 7

Glue down the felt with felt glue. Allow drying time of at least two hours. Then, add dice, casino chips, dealer, and players for your own casino party.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use your new craps table for a casino night fundraiser for your favorite charity or other non-profit.

  • You can make a regulation one-foot table by constructing a plywood top for your dining table.

  • You can make a variation of this table for poker and black jack.

  • Be sure to know when to stop gambling and seek help for yourself if you are addicted to gambling.
