How Can I Check My Yahoo Account Through NMCI?
As of 2005, commercial webmail sites, including Hotmail and Yahoo!, cannot be accessed through The Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). According to a U.S. Navy website (see References), "webmail could provide a window for malicious software to enter a government computer system." Route your Yahoo! mail through Microsoft Outlook to read your messages through the NMCI server.

Tips & Warnings
Outlook may retain or "remember" your password. For security, do not check the box permitting the retention of your password. Instead, choose a password that you can remember. According to ZDnet, "123456" and "Password" rank among the most common passwords. Combine letters and numbers to thwart hackers from easily guessing your chosen phrase.
