How to Get Points Off a License in Florida
In Florida, driving violations can incur points against your driver's license depending on the type of violation. You can incur penalties ranging from three to six points, and in some instances can lose driving privileges entirely. For instance, if you accrue six points within 12 months, you'll be restricted to driving for business purposes only for the next 12 months or until you are 18 years old, whichever happens first. To prevent points on your license, you must take action shortly after being ticketed, as the state won't remove points after the fact.
Instructions

1
Visit your local clerk of court within 30 days of being ticketed. Do not pay your ticket, as paying is an admission of guilt and points will be added to your driving record.
-
2
Elect to attend a driver improvement school. Upon completion of your coursework, bring the certificate of completion to the clerk of courts to prove attendance.

3
Contest the ticket if you do not want to attend driver improvement school. You will have to attend traffic court, and may be found guilty and face points nonetheless.

Tips & Warnings
Violations taking place out of state may affect your Florida driving record if the offense is one that earns points in Florida. Florida law does not remove points for an out-of-state ticket, even if you've attended a traffic school or program.
