1
Analyze and research the domain name you want to use for your business. This should be something that relates to your product, and should not necessarily be your business name. This is the address a user will type into the address bar to get your website to come up. Domain name registry can run anywhere from approximately $5 to $10 a year, depending on the type of domain name you choose.
-
2
Navigate to a website like GoDaddy, Register.com or Network Solutions. (See Resources.) Input the domain name you want to use and check to see if another user has it registered. Continue checking names until you find one you like, and purchase it through the domain registry service.

3
Obtain a Web host. Web hosting is the space that your website will occupy on the Internet and it can be purchased from the same company that sells you the domain name. It can often be bought in a package at a discounted price. Hosting packages will vary from about $5 to $20 a month, depending the size of your website. Most small businesses use the small to mid-sized Web hosting account.
-
4
Look through different website templates on websites like Free Website Templates, Template Monster or Website Templates. (See Resources.) Some templates are free, while others require a small fee. Download the template you want to use or that you may want to use, with a few simple modifications.
-
5
Write the text for your company overview and services on a word document. Write an About Us section, and any other information you want about your service or product.
-
6
Hire a freelancer to upload the template and make the small modifications you want. This should only take an hour or two of time for the freelancer. Ask for bids from one of the freelance websites like Freelancer, oDesk or Virtual Worker. Often you can find someone who will make the changes, upload the template and add the text for approximately $50, as of December 2010. Wait for the website to be completed before making the final payment to the freelance worker.
-
7
Promote your new website on your business cards, in your promotional material and in all your advertising material.
