How to Repair Salomon S912 TI Ski Bindings

A complete repair kit is included with each Salomon ski purchase.

Georges Salomon began making skis in 1947 and was a leader in the creation of ski binding equipment. Salomon skis have long been known for high quality and maximum performance on the slopes. When purchasing Salomon brand skis, including the S912 T1 model, a complete maintenance and step-by-step repair kit is included.

Repair

1. For broken screw or broken tap removal, fit extractor bit into an electric drill and position jig into ski bushing directly over the broken screw and/or tap. Using an up and down movement, cautiously drill around broken pieces. Extract the broken pieces using pliers. Flip ski over and tap lightly, loosening any remaining broken parts.

2. Remount binding and clean extractor bit. Using an 8 mm diameter drill bit, continue to drill the existing hole, not exceeding 10 mm. Drop a small amount of glue in the top of the hole and using a hammer, lightly tap the repair plug into hole until flush with ski.

3. Following repair, make a note on your calendar to inspect and clean bindings every 30 skiing days. Routinely clean all exposed areas in and around the binding area with a soft cloth. Apply Salomon grease only (do not use silicone oils) to all lubrication points. For maximum preventive maintenance, prior to and after each ski season, take skis into a certified Salomon dealer for inspection.
