Punch a hole in the top of the ornament if it is made out of felt or paper. If not, there should be a place at the top of the ornament you can put the thread through.

Cut a piece of thread 3 to 4 inches long.

Push one end of the thread through the hole in the top of the tree ornament.

Tie the loose ends of the thread together into a knot. Pull the knot tightly and hang the ornament from the tree.
