How do I Remove a Lint Cover for a Maytag PYE3360AYW Dryer?

Clothes dryers use a lint cover, better known as a lint trap, to capture lint from drying clothes and prevent it from clogging up the exhaust system. The lint cover is a fine screen that allows the warm air to pass through while capturing the lint in the screen. Removing a lint cover on a Maytag PYE3360AYW Performa dryer requires knowing its location in the dryer. Unlike many dryers, the lint cover is inside the door opening of the dryer. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Open the dryer door on your Maytag Performa PYE3360AYW dryer. Look at the bottom edge of the door opening for the small area between the plastic top of the lint cover and the dryer.

    • 2

Grab the edge of the dryer cover with your fingers and lift it straight out of the dryer. Insert a lint brush into the dryer cover cavity to remove lint from the dryer.

    • 3

Rub the dryer cover screen gently with your fingers to roll the lint off the screen. This works best if the tips of your fingers are slightly damp.

    • 4

Insert the dryer cover back into the cavity until the bottom of the cover top is flush against the dryer. Push the dryer door shut.
