How to Connect 3G to an Axim 51V

Use a USB cable and plug for the Axim 51V connection.

The abbreviation "3G" refers to third-generation technology used in cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs). The Axim 51V is a mobile, hand-held computer manufactured by Dell. The Axim 51V is equipped with a USB port compatible with 3G devices, including cell phones. Connecting the Axim to a 3G component lets you offload data such as business contacts and applications from the handheld computer to the 3G component. The connection takes only a few seconds.

Instructions

1. Power off the Axim 51V.

2. Pry up the rubber flap on the lower edge of the Axim 51V to reveal the USB port underneath. Lift off the flap covering the USB port on the 3G device as well.

3. Connect the USB cable to the port on the Axim 51V. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the port on the 3G device. Note that the arrow embossed on the USB plug must face upward when inserting the plug into the port.
