Old or new, there are a few things to keep in mind when cleaning your rolling pin. Ideally, you do not want to leave a rolling pin soaking in water. It is also not advisable to wash your rolling pin in a dishwasher. That being said, all you need to clean your rolling pin is likely in your cupboards. Instructions

      Hold your rolling pin over a trash can or sink and use your hand to wipe away large bits of crumbs and flour.

      Wet a cloth or sponge. Add a drop of dish soap and wring the cloth out so it is only damp.

      Wipe down the rolling pin. Wipe handles and center base thoroughly until all crumbs and debris are removed.

      Wet a clean cloth. Wipe away soapy water.

      Dry rolling pin of excess water with a dry cloth. Put away when the rolling pin is completely dry.
