Canister vacuums, like uprights, use a belt-driven beater brush to agitate the dirt out of carpets. Belts wear out overtime and the beater brush requires cleaning or replacement. It is necessary to open the brush attachment on a canister vacuum to access the brush and the belt. Although the method of securing the vacuum head varies in different models, vacuums generally disassemble in the same manner. Does this Spark an idea?
