How to Disarm a 1998 Altima Alarm

The 1998 Nissan Altima is equipped with an anti-theft alarm system that automatically engages when you lock the doors. The keyless entry remote also activates the alarm when the doors are locked using the remote. You can disarm the alarm by pressing the "Unlock" button on the keyless entry remote. If you do not have the remote, it is important to know how to disarm the alarm system without it to avoid draining the battery.

Instructions

1. Insert the ignition key into the driver's side door lock.

2. Turn the key toward the front of the car then return it to the starting position and remove it from the lock.

3. Open the driver's side door, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
