Instructions

    • 1

Lay one long ratchet strap measuring at least 20 feet long on the ground where you wish the bed to be assembled. Place two twin box springs on the floor lengthwise on top of the ratchet strap, ensuring the strap ends extend out from under the box springs. Push the box springs together tightly. Place two more twin box springs directly on top of the previous box springs in the same direction. Make sure all four box springs are pushed together tightly and the edges match perfectly.

    • 2

Grab both ends of the ratchet fastener and pull them to the top and center of the connected Twin box springs. Thread the ratchet fastener by feeding the loose end of the strap through the metal fastener take-up spool. Pull on the end of the loose strap until it is tight against the box springs. Ratchet the metal fastener to increase the tension. Continue until the strap is snug against the box springs.

    • 3

Ask someone to assist you as you lift the connected twin box springs onto a king-size bed frame. Leave the box springs on the floor if a bed frame is not available.

    • 4

Place an extra large king-size bed skirt, also called a dust ruffle, over the four box springs that are now connected. Center and straighten the bed skirt. Set the king-size mattress on the twin mattress box springs. Ensure that the mattress is centered on the twins.

    • 5

Make the bed. Place a fitted bottom sheet on the king-size mattress. Pull the elastic corners of the sheet tightly over the corners of the mattress. Smooth the sheet from the center out to the sides, tucking any loose sheet under the mattress. Spread a top sheet evenly across the bed. Make sure the wide hem of the sheet is at the top where your pillows will be placed. Tuck the excess sheet at the foot of the bed under the mattress. Add blankets and a comforter. Set pillows, covered in pillowcases, on top of the comforter at the head of the bed.
