How to Create a Shared Calendar in Word thumbnail
You can easily create a shared calendar within Word using the existing software on your computer.

Within Microsoft Word you can create a shared calendar that is able to be accessed by others within your network. On a shared calendar, individuals will be able to input scheduled meetings, events and other important information for everyone to see at the same time. The calendar can be easily created using a template offered through Microsoft Word's software and customized for a particular month and viewing platform---such as by daily, weekly or monthly calendars.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Word on your computer. Go to the "File" tab on the upper left side of the window and scroll down to "New." A new document task pane will open on the screen, allowing you to choose the type of document you wish to create.

    • 2

Click on the "Templates" tab within the task pane. Then, click on the "On My Computer" option.

    • 3

Locate the "Other Documents" tab and then double-click on the "Calendar Wizard" option.

    • 4

Within Calendar Wizard, choose the template that best fits your needs---either a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly calendar option. Create the calendar and save it to your hard drive.

    • 5

Save the document to a shared workspace. This location is only accessible if you have your computer linked to a network. This will allow anyone else on the network to access the file and to make changes to it.
