Nokia N97 Maps: How to Get Navigation License

Obtaining a navigation license for the Nokia N97 offers many benefits to the user and it costs the user nothing. This is a free upgrade to the Ovi Maps program, which is on select Nokia phones, including the N97. This upgrade can be done through the phone itself, with no need to sync with a computer. When the upgrade is complete, the navigation license is on the phone and the user can enjoy the benefits of the newest navigation software.

Instructions

    • 1

      Go to "Menu" on the Nokia N97 home page.

      Select "Applications." A new window with the available applications opens.

    • 3

      Select "SW Update." The update begins immediately, the status bar will disappear when the update is complete and the license is installed.
