Things You'll Need

  • Clean plastic bowl
  • 1 qt. warm water
  • 1 tbsp. liquid dish soap
  • 2 clean microfiber cloths
  • Clean terry cloth towel
  • 2 microfiber applicator pads
  • Tin oxide polishing powder
  • Marble polishing cream

Instructions

    • 1

      Fill a clean plastic bowl with 1 qt. of warm water and 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap. Thoroughly mix the solution.

      Dampen a clean microfiber cloth in the soapy water. Wipe the countertop with the damp cloth to remove any loose debris. Frequently rinse the microfiber cloth with fresh water to prevent reapplying abrasive grime particles to the countertop and scratching the marble.

      Wet another clean microfiber cloth with warm water. Wipe the marble countertop with the wet cloth to wash away the soap and grime. Frequently rinse the cloth with fresh water.

      Wipe the marble with a clean, terry cloth towel until completely dry.

      Dampen a microfiber applicator pad with warm water. Sprinkle tin oxide polishing powder over the applicator pad according to the manufacturer's directions. Rub the pad over the marble in circular motions until the scratch disappears.

      Apply marble polishing cream to another microfiber applicator pad. Follow the manufacturer's directions on the product's label. Rub the applicator pad over the marble in circular motions until the cream is completely dissolved and the countertop is restored.
