How to Disable OnStar in a Silverado
OnStar is an in-vehicle safety and security system installed in most current GM vehicles. OnStar provides 24-hour access to trained consultants, a connection to emergency assistance and access to OnStar Hands-Free Calling. If you no longer want OnStar in your Silverado, you will need to call GM to cancel the service and remove the OnStar parts from your vehicle's dash.
