How to Hide Wire Clutter

When you have multiple components and may need to move them, wire or cord hiders that stick to the wall or floor may not be feasible. 1
Untangle the wires and work with them near the components they belong to, for example, below the speakers or next to the computer.
-
2
Separate the wires and cords and coil each one loosely. Wrap floral tape around the wires four or five times to keep the coil neat, or wrap a twist tie gently around each coil of wires.

3
Arrange decorative pots in a convenient location near the wires. For example, place three large flower pots next to a stand holding your sound system, or next to your computer desk.
-
4
Center a silk plant in each flower pot to fully hide the wire clutter and add a decorative element to the room. Choose foliage plants like small palm trees or ferns for the best camouflage.

Tips & Warnings
Floral tape doesn't leave a sticky residue when you remove it, and you can use it to wrap cords or wires behind a desk or hanging down a wall.
Change the silk plants for different seasons. For example, display poinsettias in winter, lilies in spring and tropical plants in the summer.
Decorative vases or urns work well for hiding wires. Check that the opening is large enough to insert the coiled wires into the container.
Don't put any elements that get warm or need air circulation, such as modems, into a pot.
Avoid bending or crowding wires.
Avoid putting wires, cables or electronic components in flammable containers.
