How to Reuse Postcards
Having a drawer full of old postcards can pose a dilemma over what to do with them. No one wants to throw away memories but maintaining an unsightly pile of cards is not desirable either. Whether your collection of postcards is from friends and family or you have a bunch of postcards which you purchased while traveling and never sent, it is possible to reuse them. With a little creativity, you can rework old cards into new creations.

1
Create a scrapbook. Sorting postcards by occasions, dates, or specific trips can create a professional looking record of your family's history. Include the professional photos on the cards with your personal pictures for a nice mixture.
-
2
Make bookmarks. If you are a reader, you will likely have several novels going at the same time. Opening your latest read to the site of a lovely locale is a great way to reuse postcards.

3
Frame old postcards. Framing the cards individually or as a collage can be a decorative addition to your home. Professional photos of foreign destinations sold at home decorating stores cost much more than it would for you to purchase a nice frame and create a collage or your postcard collection.

Donate postcards to a preschool, kindergarten, or elementary school class. Children in these grades are always doing craft projects involving cutting out pictures and creating collages. If you have postcards which are not too sentimental to you, you can help a teacher with her art class in this way.
