Installation Instructions for Moen Kitchen Faucet Parts

Moen kitchen faucets are among the most sought after for contemporary design.

Moen makes many different styles of kitchen faucets. Homeowners often prefer single-handle faucets because of the convenience of one-handle temperature control. Moen single-handle faucets come in a variety of finishes including bronze, brushed nickel, and chrome. When purchasing a single-handle Moen faucet you can choose between a pullout sprayer and a pull-down sprayer. While pull-down faucet sprayers can be convenient, they also tend to be more expensive than typical pullout kitchen sprayers. Installing a single-handle Moen faucet can update your kitchen with a touch of elegance, whether old world or new.

Things You'll Need

• Basin wrench
• Clean rags
• Water

Instructions

1. Turn off the water supply to the kitchen faucet.

2. Remove the old kitchen faucet by removing the mounting hardware with a basin wrench.

3. Clean the sink with a clean rag and water. The old faucet will leave behind debris and dirt. Clean it completely before installing the new faucet.

4. Set the foam gasket of the hose guide on the bottom of the hose guide. Slide the hose guide into place in the sink. Under the sink, secure the hose guide with an extended locknut.

5. Set the faucet into place on the sink. Thread the supply tubes into the hole for the faucet. Center the support plate of the faucet on the sink. Secure the faucet in place with the mounting nuts. Tighten the nuts by hand and then check the faucet to ensure that it is centered on the sink. Finish tightening the faucet with a basin wrench.

6. Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the supply tubes on the faucet. Fit the tubes together and thread the supply line in place. Do not over-tighten the lines.

7. Slide the spray hose through the hose guide. Connect the spray hose swivel nut to the threaded shank of the faucet with a wrench.

8. Remove the aerator from the faucet. Turn on the water to the faucet. Run the faucet on cold and then hot for 15 seconds each. Turn off the faucet and reinstall the aerator. Check the faucet for leaks.
