A body scrub helps keep your skin soft and glowing by removing the layers of dead skin from the top so the healthy skin can show through. You can spend a small fortune on organic, or even non-organic, body scrubs in health and beauty stores. Skip the pricey purchase at the beauty counter and opt to make your own homemade coffee scrub at home. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Measuring cup
  • Coarse ground coffee (caffeinated)
  • Bowl
  • Raw sugar
  • Measuring spoons
  • Shower gel or massage oil
  • Spoon

Instructions

    • 1

      Measure 2 cups of coarse ground coffee into your bowl. Add 1/2 cup raw sugar to the coffee grounds. Mix the two together with your hands.

      Add 3 tbsp massage oil or 1/2 cup shower gel to the coffee and sugar mixture. Use massage oil for a more moisturizing exfoliating scrub. Use shower gel if you want an exfoliating body wash.

      Stir the mixture with a spoon. Use the scrub in the shower after your skin is all wet. Rub the mixture into your skin in a circular motion.
