How to Make a Touch Screen Device

Depending on the type of work you do on your computer, it can be easier to use a stylus pen to write on the screen. This is how a tablet computer with a touch screen works. If you don't have the money to upgrade to a tablet, you can purchase a touch-screen converter for your monitor, which turns your standard computer monitor into a touch screen.

Instructions

1. Select a touch-screen adapter panel from your local computer retailer that matches the measurements and dimensions of your home computer monitor.

2. Place the touch-screen panel over your computer and align the sides and corners so that they are flush with the sides and corners of the monitor.

3. Clamp the touch-screen panel to the side of the computer using the clamp on the side of the panel.

4. Plug the USB cable, which runs from the side of the panel, into an available USB port on your computer. Consult your computer's user manual if you have problems locating the USB ports.

5. Use the included stylus to write on the panel. The sensors in the panel will read the information on your computer monitor and that information can be manipulated from the panel.
