How to Change a Bag on the Hoover Runabout

The Hoover Runabout is a canister-style vacuum with a telescopic wand, variable speed control, a cord rewind pedal, a carrying handle and nozzles designed for use on bare floors or carpets. Available online or in select department, home retail or appliance stores, the Runabout contains a filter inside the canister that must be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure proper performance and cleaning. Changing the bag on a Hoover Runabout is fairly easy, but should only be performed when the vacuum is turned off and unplugged from the power supply.

Things You'll Need

• New dust bag

Instructions

1. Press the bag lid latch on the canister and open the lid.

2. Grab the small bag handle and pull straight up. Remove the used bag from the bag holder.

3. Discard the used bag. Slide the new dust bag into the holder. Both the opening on the bag and the bag holder should be facing up.

4. Fold the front of the bag underneath the lid in the canister and slide the holder into the slot on the unit. The back part of the bag should be set underneath the seal in the container.

5. Close the bag lid and restore power before using the vacuum.
