How to Hand Tie Flowers
Weddings are expensive events, and many brides look for ways to cut cost without giving up elegance and style. One way to lower your wedding budget is by creating your own wedding bouquet with hand-tied flowers. Hand-tied flowers are customizable to fit with any wedding theme, cost less than hiring a professional florist and require little expertise to complete.

1
Remove the leaves from the flowers' stems and discard. Cut the stems of the flowers so that they are the same length as each other. Wrap each stem with floral tape. This will reinforce the stem and keep it from breaking and bending.
-
2
Arrange the flowers in your hand as desired in a tight cluster. Keep the blooms at the same height as each other. Wrap the stems together with floral tape just below the flower blossoms. Keep the cluster of flowers tight together as you secure them with the floral tape.

3
Hold the bouquet so the flowers are facing away from you. Wrap the stems with ribbon, starting at the top and leaving a 2-foot-long tail on the top left side of the bouquet. Keep the ribbon flat as you slowly wrap the stems. Work downward until you reach the bottom of the stems.

4
Cover the bottom end of the stem handle with the ribbon and wrap the ribbon around the stem handle once more, working your way back up to the top. There will be a second tail of ribbon on the right side of the bouquet.

5
Tie the left and the right ribbon tails together in a bow. Place a corsage pin in the bow to secure it on the bouquet handle. Cut the ribbon tails to the desired length.
