How to Recycle a Summit Toner Cartridge
Summit Ink Supplies produces universal toner cartridges, which means that Summit cartridges are compatible with most printers. Recycling a Summit toner cartridge -- or any toner cartridge -- helps to reduce the amount of waste that is entering landfills. Recycling a toner cartridge is almost as easy as buying a new one. Many places accept used cartridges to recycle while others may refill the cartridge and reuse it.

1
Bring the toner cartridge to a local office supply store, such as OfficeMax or Staples. Many office supply stores offer a recycling program that accepts toner cartridges, ink cartridges, light bulbs, batteries and more. There are usually drop-off bins located by the front of the store where you may place the items.

2
Mail the toner cartridge back to Summit. The company offers four different addresses where you may mail the cartridges for recycling. Summit also offers discounts on future purchases when you recycle through the company. They also have a list of cartridges they can accept that did not come from them. Check the packaging that the cartridge came with for a return label and you may reuse the box.

Donate the cartridge to a business such as Toner Cartridge Depot. These companies will recycle or refill the cartridges and will sometimes donate profits to charities such as the March of Dimes. You may mail the cartridge to them.
