Type alt.binaries into "Only show groupnames..." under the "All groups on..." tab. Right-click on the group and select "Subscribe." You have now subscribed to your alt.binary.

Headers are the metadata files that tell the newsreader what is contained in the article. Click "Full Update." This could take 15 minutes or more. If you have already updated, click "Incremental Update." The Batch tab will show you GrabIt downloading the headers.

    • 6

Beneath the articles tab, you will find your files. The black ones are complete multipart files -- these are the ones you want. You can now start browsing the newsgroups.

    • 7

To download the articles, click and highlight the ones you want. Click "Grab all." These will be downloaded to your default folder. If you want to download them to a specific place, select "Grab selected article(s) to folder."
