Cool Mist Humidifier Directions

If you live in a cold climate, chances are the air in your house is dry. Dry air can be very hard on your lungs, because your body needs water to function properly. Cool mist humidifiers are often the better choice over warm mist humidifiers for a few reasons. Cool mist humidifiers tend to be more effective at humidifying larger areas, and the cooler mist is also easier to breathe. Cool mist humidifiers are very easy to set up, quickly giving your house a more comfortable air-moisture content. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Carry the cool mist humidifier over to where you will be setting it up. It will need to be positioned near an outlet. Do not place the humidifier on any surface that will get ruined if it gets wet. Do not plug it in yet.

    • 2

Lift the water tank out of the base by gripping the handle and picking it straight up. Turn the base upside down, and locate the tank cap.

    • 3

Turn the tank cap counter-clockwise until it will not turn anymore, then lift the cap off the tank. Fill the tank with cold tap water. When it is full, replace the cap, and turn it clockwise to tighten it.

    • 4

Flip the tank right side up, and make sure no water leaks out from around the cap. If water does leak, open the cap, and make sure the rubber gasket is firmly in place. Carry the tank over to the base by the handle.

    • 5

Lower the tank onto the base. You will notice bubbles rise up if you have positioned the tank properly. Make sure that the power knob is in the "Off" position, and then plug the unit into an outlet.

    • 6

Turn the knob to the "high" or "low" setting, depending on your preference. The cool mist humidifier will now run until you turn it off or for 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • After 24 hours, dispose of any leftover water, and rinse the tank.

  • Do not run the cool mist humidifier with an empty water tank.
