How to Use an Astro Blinky Battery Balancer
The Astro Blinky battery balancer helps to keep batteries, especially Li Po (lithium ion polymer) batteries, properly balanced. Balancing Li Po batteries periodically helps to prevent damaging the Li Po battery pack. Balancing prevents Li Po cells from getting over charged or discharged. It also makes sure that all cells in the battery have the same voltage. Some Li Po battery chargers do not come with a balancer. Purchasing a balancer will help to avoid battery damage, and consequently, equipment damage.

1
Connect the balancer to the Li Po battery pack. Make sure that you connect the batter pack's most negative connection to the balancer's most negative pin. If all cells have a voltage of 3.2 volts or more, then the LED lights will turn on. If some cells do not have a voltage of 3.2 volts or more, the LED lights will not light up. Disconnect the balancer.

2
Set the charger to a charge rate between 0.1 to 0.2 amps. Plug the charger until all the LED lights start blinking. Plug the balancer to run another balance test. If all the LED lights light up for 10 seconds, the battery is balanced.

3
Connect the balancer and charger if you wish to balance the batteries while charging. First perform the low voltage test using the balancer and checking if all the LED lights turn on. Charge the batteries. As soon as the batteries finish charging, the balancing will automatically begin.

4
Connect the balancer to the battery after charging if you want to balance the batteries after charging. The Balancer will automatically start discharging any cell that has a higher voltage than 4.25 volts. When all the LEDS turn off, the batteries are balanced.

Tips & Warnings
Sometimes the LEDS will blink at random after balancing. This is a normal function.
