How to Get a Tractor Tire Bead to Seal
When replacing a tractor tire, the tire bead should seal automatically with the tire rim if the tire is installed properly. There are also tire sealants sold to help improve the adhesion between the tire bead and the tire rim. As long as you follow the correct installation instructions for your brand of tire and tractor, the seal between the tire bead and rim should last as long as the tire itself.

1
Place the valve stem through the valve hole in the tire rim. Lubricate the inside of the tire rim and the inside of the wheel with a soft cloth. Apply a line of bead sealant to the tire rim.
-
2
Line up the yellow dot on the tire with the valve stem inside the tire rim. Slip this side of the tire over the rim. Use the pry bar to help pull the tire over the rim working in small sections until the tire is over the entire rim.

3
Stand on the tire rim. Use the self-locking pliers to guide the top edge of the tire into the bead well along the tire rim. Repeat for the other side of the tire. Add additional lubrication to the tire rim if necessary.
-
4
Apply another line of tire bead sealant between the tire bead and the tire rim to ensure a snug and non-moving fit between the tire and the rim.
-
5
Inflate the tire to the recommended PSI rating for that tractor and tire.

Tips & Warnings
If the tire goes onto the rim with difficulty, using two pry bars or self-locking pliers helps to grab a large enough section of the tire to pull into the appropriate spot. Always have patience and take care when sealing the tire so you do not obtain an unnecessary flat.
