How to Change an Onguard Lock Combination

The OnGuard cable combination lock is a versatile security tool for your bicycle or other portable items. When you buy an OnGuard combination lock, the default combination is set to 0005. Customize the combination to protect the security of your lock and the items you secure with it. Understanding how to change the combination properly can keep you from damaging the lock.

Instructions

1. Turn the number dials to match the current combination for the OnGuard lock. Pull the lock post away from the combination barrel to separate the lock.

2. Twist the reset collar clockwise until it stops. The reset collar is the small dial at the end of the combination barrel where the lock post inserts.

3. Turn the number dials until the combination you desire appears. Twist the reset collar counterclockwise until it stops.

4. Insert the lock post into the lock to store the combination. Write down the combination and store it in a safe place.
