Use the error codes as guides when troubleshooting a Sharp AR C330 copier.

The Sharp AR C330 is a digital, multi-functional copier that can produce images in color and black and white. With print speeds of up to 33 pages per minute, the C330 is considered a work group copier. This means that the unit can serve as a stand-alone copier, or be configured as a printer, fax and network scanner. As with all electronics, the C330 is prone to malfunction. When an error occurs, the C330 will display an alphanumeric error code on its touch-screen display.

Instructions

    • 1

Record the error code. The error code will be displayed on the main panel and remain displayed until the machine is reset or the issue is resolved. Writing down the error code will allow you to remember it if the code is accidentally cleared before the issue is resolved.

    • 2

Turn off the copier and remove the plug from the power source. Leave it unplugged for two or more minutes.

    • 3

Plug the copier back in and turn it on. After the copier cycles through its startup, the display will indicate that either the issue has been resolved, or, if the error code appears again, that more service work is required. Some issues can and will be resolved by powering down the unit.

    • 4

Search for the error code in the service manual. It will have a listing of all service error codes. Compare the code that your unit is showing with the service manual. The codes are arranged according to the internal component of the copier. For example, if your code indicates a drum issue, you might need to replace the drum or clean it.
