Instructions

    • 1

Open your word processing software. Choose a new document.

    • 2

Go to "Page layout" and select the narrowest margin set up allowed by your software.

    • 3

Insert a table into the document by going to the "Insert" tab and selecting "Table." Adjust the dimensions of the cells to match the dimensions of the labels you have purchased. The dimensions will be printed in the front of the packaging for the labels. Fill your document with as many cells as possible.

    • 4

Click on the first cell. Type your information into the cell. Use a larger font size to highlight the most important information, such as the price and a smaller font to add detailed information about the product beneath the price.

    • 5

Copy the text from the first cell into additional cells if you need identical tags. Otherwise, type unique text into each cell for each of your products.

    • 6

Add an image to the label by going to "Insert" and selecting "Image" or "Picture." Choose a file from your computer to add. Size the picture to fit the label by clicking in the image and adjusting the size from the drop-down box. Place the image where you think its looks best in relation to the text. This might also include setting the image behind the text.

    • 7

Save your work once all the cells are filled.

    • 8

Load the label paper into your printer. In "Printer Preferences," choose specialty paper. Print as many copies of the labels as you need.

    • 9

Remove the labels from the backing paper and stick directly on the products or attach the labels to card-stock tags that you can tie to your products.
