How to Calibrate a Navigation System

Calibrating GPS devices ensures that the unit is always showing the user the correct location on the map. Instances arise where the map is off and it needs to be calibrated. While most GPS devices calibrate automatically, there are still some, such as the Range Rover navigation system, that users must calibrate themselves. It is imperative for the user to maintain a correct location at all times.

Instructions

1. Select "Navigation Settings" from the main menu of the device.

2. Tap "Position" or "Direction" from the navigation settings menu.

3. Tap the map on the current position of the unit.

4. Select "OK." The map is now calibrated and showing the correct location of the device.
