Find a Profile on MSN

The Windows Live profile search, formally MSN, is available to users who do not have a Windows Live profile. However, if you are not signed in to an account, then you will have a limited viewing of the contact's profile. Windows Live Contacts is another option for searching and adding contacts (see Resources) but it requires a Windows Live profile.

Instructions

    • 1

      Double-click the Internet browser's application shortcut of your choice.

      Go to the Windows Live MSN web page (see Resources).

    • 3

      Type the email address of the contact for whom you wish to search or the person's name in the "Bing Search" bar.

    • 4

      Click the orange magnifying glass icon to begin the search. If the contact exists, it will display the contact's Windows Live profile.

Tips & Warnings

  • After Windows Live took over the MSN name, your contacts might have changed emails to the newer "@live.com" suffix.
