The Elkay water cooler is used to keep spring water cool. Power issues with the water cooler are common issue because the water cooler will still dispense water even when it is not plugged in.       Go to the back of the unit and locate the power cord. Make sure the power cord is securely plugged into the wall out. Check the wall outlet with a working device to make sure the outlet is working properly.

      Go to the back of the water cooler and turn the cold control 1/4-turn counterclockwise. The control is labeled on the unit.

      Adjust the cold control the opposite way if you are not getting any water through the dispenser. If the cold control is set too low, the water will freeze.

      Open your breaker box and make sure that no breakers have been tripped. Secure all breakers to the "On" position and then go back to your water cooler to make sure it is running. You should hear a "hum" when it is running properly.
