Global TelLink provides service to payphone systems in a variety of correctional facilities throughout the United States. Family members and friends of incarcerated love ones can setup a prepaid account, through Global TelLink called AdvancePay to unblock phone numbers from correctional facilities. If you already have an AdvancePay account, you will have to add funding to the account to unblock correctional facility phone numbers. You can fund the account with a credit card, Western Union deposit, ExpressPay card, money order or check.
Creating an AdvancePay Account
Step 1
Dial Global Tel*Link AdvancePay IVR system at 1-800-483-8314.
Step 2
Press the button for your language preference and dial in your home phone number.
Step 3
Press the number to create a new prepaid account. Dial the amount of money to add to your prepaid account.
Step 4
Dial your credit card number when prompted to do so. Verify your credit card number.
Step 5
Write down the confirmation number the system gives you before you disconnect the call. You will now be able to receive phone calls from correctional facility phone numbers.
Funding an AdvancePay Account
Step 1
Contact Global Tel* Link customer service department at 1-866-230-7761 and follow the prompts to speak with a representative.
Step 2
Press the button for your language preference. Press "0" to speak with a representative.
Step 3
Tell the agent of your intent to unblock phone numbers on your Global Tel* Link account.
Step 4
Tell the representative with your name and phone number. You will be instructed to setup a payment method to add funding to your account.
Step 5
Wait for the representative to process the payment and remove the block from your account.
