How do I Find the Email Route on an SMTP Server?

SMTP stands for "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol." SMTP is a protocol used by your server to relay email messages. It is essentially the server for all your outgoing messages. The SMTP server address tells you the route for your outgoing emails. Note that you will need a tool called "Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager" to locate your SMTP server address. This tool is usually installed in server computers that have administrative privileges.

Instructions

1. Login to a server computer with admin rights.

2. Click the Start menu and select "All Programs." Click the folder "Microsoft Exchange." Click to launch "Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager."

3. Expand the root menu in the left pane and locate "Default SMTP Virtual Server."

4. Right-click and select "Properties" from the context menu.

5. Click the "General" tab. Here you will find the Internet Protocol (IP) address.

6. Click the "Advanced" button to find your "TCP Port" number.
