How to Set Up Dish 500 on a Viewsat Ultra
The Dish 500 is a satellite dish commonly used with the pay-to-use Dish Network. However, a satellite dish need not be used exclusively with its original provider, and it is possible to set up your dish with a Viewsat Ultra receiver. This Viewsat receiver is an FTA (free-to-air) receiver that obtains unscrambled signals, and does not require a monthly service fee. Because it is the receiver that adjusts the programming information, and the satellite dish just captures the television signal, you are able to use any satellite dish with a Viewsat Ultra receiver.
