Learn how to become a spokesmodel for Patron tequila.

Originally formed in 1989, Patron Spirits company makes and sells premium tequila and spirit products in hand-blown glass bottles. Part of the company's success is how its advertising campaigns and promotional events reach out into the community. Both the ad campaigns and outreach programs use models to help sell the brand. While these models are primarily female, there are some male models involved with promoting the Patron brand as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine if you fit the profile of the model needed by Patron: In general you need to be a 21- to 35-year-old, attractive, physically fit and with a friendly personality.

    • 2

Get an agent to represent you for commercial, print or promotional work for Patron and other companies. Go to reputable industry meet-and-greets, attend acting and modeling seminars held by agents and managers and cold-call companies to submit photos of yourself in order to gain representation.

    • 3

Find out about upcoming Patron promotional events and the agencies hired to do the work at these events. Contact the agencies through your agent to audition for roles at the events.

    • 4

Go audition for the role. Meet the casting director and occasionally executives from Patron for commercials. Perform the part in the commercial for which you are auditioning. Bring your modeling book and strike poses in sample outfits to test for an upcoming photo shoot for print. Audition for a promotional event by displaying your personality and ease with serving or promoting the brand in a social setting.

    • 5

Get hired for the job, and then do not alter your appearance significantly by cutting or dyeing your hair or getting any tattoos without consulting with the company.

    • 6

Show up on time; be professional and courteous during the process, which can mean long hours under hot lights or repeating lines endlessly to promote the product.
