You can lose weight loss and improve your health by increasing the amount of fiber that is in your diet. The natural fiber content of fruits, vegetables and grains provides a sense of fullness to your stomach. You'll lose weight by consuming fewer calories, particularly later in the day when you want to satisfy your hunger. Eating a high-fiber diet helps prevent diabetes, colon cancer and heart disease.   • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 1 tbsp. ground flax seed
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

      Select fresh or frozen berries for to blend.
      Select fresh or frozen berries for to blend.

      Place 1/2 cup blackberries, 1/2 cup raspberries, 1 cup low fat milk, 1 tbsp. ground flax seed, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, and 1/4 cup water into a blender.

      Blend on high until the ingredients are smooth.

      Remove the lid from the blender and pour the smoothie into a glass. For later use, pour it into a container with a secure lid and refrigerate.
