Razor E100 Troubleshooting

The E100 scooter can travel up to 10 miles per hour with a quiet motor for up to 40 minutes continuously. Your red or pink Razor E100 includes a rechargeable battery charger and tools. Ride your Razor E100 scooter only on dry, clean and flat surfaces such as pavement. If your scooter seems to run slowly, it likely means you were riding on bumpy or uneven surfaces.

Make certain you ride your scooter alone and that you weigh no more than 120 lbs when operating your E100 scooter if your scooter runs too slowly. Razor recommends 120 lbs as the weight limit for the E100 scooter. Your overloaded scooter can trip the circuit breaker, as well as shut off the power. Reset the circuit breaker if this happens by pushing the breaker.

Inflate your scooter's tires when the scooter runs sluggishly. Use a bicycle pump made for a regular bicycle air valve and inflate it with the pounds per square inch (PSI) written on the tire's sidewall. Use short bursts of air if you use an automobile tire pump at the gas station until you reach the correct PSI. These produce a higher pressure--release the extra pressure right away if you over inflate your scooter tire.

Twist the throttle and kick start your Razor E100 if your scooter does not run. The motor of your scooter will engage after you travel three miles per hour. If your scooter still will not run, or if it runs less than 15 minutes on a charge, charge the battery. You need to charge the battery up to 12 hours after each time you ride your scooter. You must charge the battery at least 18 hours before you ride your scooter for the first time.

Apply a lubricant to the chains if your Razor scooter makes too much noise or makes grinding sounds. These sounds come from an overly-dry chain. Razor recommends you use Tri-Flow or 3-in-1 lubricant on your chain.
