How to Get a Lost Vehicle Title
If you have searched high and low for your vehicle title and it is nowhere to be found, don't panic. You can replace a lost or stolen vehicle title with a quick---or sometimes not so quick---visit to the Department of Motor Vehicles or other state motor vehicle titling agency. Call by phone, or replace a title using the Internet. If you intend to sell a vehicle or are purchasing a new ride, be sure the vehicle title is accounted for. A title is an imperative piece of paperwork for transferring ownership and for vehicle insurance and registration.
