How to Design a Tinker Bell Room
Create a Tinker Bell room that highlights the fairy world that a little girl dreams about. Capture her imagination with vibrant colors, sparkling glitter elements and traditional fantasy decor. Decorate a room that makes her feel as though she is walking into Tinker Bell's fairy land when she enters the room. Involve the little girl in the decorating process. Does this Spark an idea?

- Green and yellow paint
- Blue, pink, purple paint, optional
- Paintbrush
- Glow-in-the-dark galaxy decals
- Clear glitter paint spray
- Fairy accessories
- Bedding
- Rug

Paint the walls in the room alternating green and yellow. Or alternate the yellow and green with a choice of blue, pink or purple. For example, paint one wall yellow and an adjoining wall blue, the next purple and the next green. The idea is to create a spectrum of color that matches Tinker Bell and the girl's tastes. Tinker Bell's outfit is green and her hair is yellow in Disney representations. Green is traditionally associated with fairies. Pink, purple and blue are colors that most girls like and complement green and yellow. Paint the ceiling as well. Allow the paint to dry for two full days.

Place glow-in-the-dark galaxy stickers on the ceiling. The stickers are clear so they will not be seen during the day but the whole ceiling will light up at night.

Spray a light mist of clear glitter paint on all of the walls. Don't attempt to cover every inch--the effect should be a subtle touch of glitter on each wall. Allow the glitter paint to dry on the walls for one day.

Hang up framed photos of Tinker Bell and her friends on the walls. You can also hang up the girl's custom Tinker Bell or other fairy art.

Include other Tinker Bell accents in the room such as fairy figurines or dolls and perhaps a lamp in the shape of a fairy. Add fairy appliques to furniture. Install a rack on the back of bedroom door and place a set of fairy wings there.

Adorn the bed with Tinker Bell bedding. Decorate with green and yellow bedding and pillow cases if you don't wish to use commercial Tinker Bell patterns. Add a soft green rug next to the bed.
