Instructions

    • 1

Wash the bumper with car wash soap and a soft sponge. Rinse all of the soap off, and allow the bumper to dry completely. This removes any abrasive debris that may be on the surface of the bumper.

    • 2

Spray a small area of the bumper with clay bar lubricant. Use the clay bar to rub across the lubricated surface. The clay bar picks up the overspray off of the surface, removing it completely without harming the painted surface. Repeat this until all of the overspray is removed, or use the clay bar on the entire bumper.

    • 3

Use a damp sponge to apply a thin coat of wax to the bumper to restore and protect the bumper's shine. Let the wax dry for 5 minutes. Use a cotton towel to buff the dried wax off of the bumper.

Tips & Warnings

  • A clay bar and clay bar lubricant can be purchased as a kit in an auto parts store.

  • Don't use a clay bar on a dirty car because dirt or debris on the surface can scratch the paint if the clay bar is rubbed on it.
