Understand the law and get the education. In order to become a judge, you must study and work hard to become approved in the judicial system. Being a judge requires a specific amount of education. You need to graduate from law school. The required courses you take will train you and help develop strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to think in a logical prospective.

Prepare to take the bar exam. Taking the bar exam becomes an open door for you to practice law within your state. You must prove through the exam that you have the knowledge and qualifications to become an attorney, as well as pass a background check. You must pass the exam, but if you fail don't worry.
