How to Replace a Headlight in a Roketa

Roketa is a well-known manufacturer of recreational vehicles. In addition to ATVs, the company also makes go-carts, motorcycles and scooters. Due to the nature of recreational vehicles, the lights on your Roketa will probably take more than their fair share of abuse. Checking and replacing the headlights is a do-it-yourself project that needs to be tackled at the start of each season. While the exact process will vary somewhat based on your machine, there are certain steps relevant to all.

Instructions

    • 1

Park your Roketa on a level surface and turn off the engine. Let the machine sit for 30 minutes.

    • 2

Inspect the vehicle to determine how to access the headlight bulb. In addition to the owner's manual, you should be able to figure this out visually. Most Roketa machines have a set of screws around the lens allowing for removal. Some will have a plastic sheathing held on by screws that will need to be removed first.

    • 3

Detach the mounting screws from around the headlight lens with a Phillips screwdriver. Place the lens upside down on the ground. Put the screws inside the lens for safekeeping.

    • 4

Grasp the bulb and turn it to the left to loosen it from the socket and pull it straight out.

    • 5

Insert the new bulb and turn it to the right to lock it in place in the socket. Reattach the lens with the mounting screws. Replace any plastic sheathing.
