Instructions

    • 1

Avoid eating foods and consuming liquids that are high in sugars and carbohydrates. Pinworms enjoy consuming the excrement that is filled with these types of foods. Avoiding them will help decrease the pinworm's food.

    • 2

Shower first thing in the morning, washing the area around the anus well with soap and hot water. According to the Mayo Clinic, pinworms lay their eggs during the night, and washing the area where the eggs are found will help remove them.

    • 3

Eat foods that are high in fiber, such as strawberries, raisins and bran flakes.

    • 4

Consume at least two to three serving of garlic each day. The garlic will help kill the pinworms. It can be eaten mashed with honey or it can be added to your favorite dishes, including spaghetti and chicken.

    • 5

Wash your clothing, including any undergarments worn during the day, and your bed sheets and blankets in hot water before bed. This will help kill any pinworms that have made their way onto these items.

    • 6

Add foods that are rich in probiotics to your diet. These foods, including yogurt, help promote the growth of healthy bacteria throughout the body. These healthy bacteria make your body an undesirable place for pinworms to grow, which will help rid them naturally from your body.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid spreading the pinworm infection by washing your hands frequently, wearing clean undergarments, avoiding biting your fingernails and keeping your fingernails clean and short.
